The NAS Statement of Principles recognises the non-renewable nature of cultural heritage wherever situated, supports all activities that further the recording, preservation and responsible management of the cultural heritage and respects the letter and spirit of national and international legislation.     Learn from the experts about how an intertidal site would have been surveyed in the past using a plane table and then see how this compares to the more modern technique of total station survey. Participants will get hands on practice of these two pieces of survey equipment and will be working on the wreck of the Helping Hand. Skills learnt at this course will be useful for surveying intertidal sites in the future!

  • Vice Presidents

    The NAS is fortunate to have the support of Vice Presidents that bring years of knowledge and experience of the heritage sectors. Our Vice Presidents come from archaeological academia, museum services, advocacy and oceanography.

  • Dive Club

    NASAC is a volunteer run archaeological dive club affiliated to the Nautical Archaeology Society (NAS) and is run by NAS members for NAS members. Our purpose is to provide project-based archaeological diving opportunities for NAS members.
