Why join NAS?

By becoming a NAS member you are helping to support the protection and preservation of our nautical past.  With us you can not only indulge your passion for nautical archaeology, you will also be helping record and preserve the worlds intertidal and underwater heritage for future generations.

Subscription Discount - get £5.00 off your annual membership

To receive a £5.00 discount per year you can set up your membership subscription with an automatic recurring renewal payment on a credit/debit card or via bank direct debit. Just follow the instructions in the Membership Portal.

Don't forget if you are a UK taxpayer, the Society can reclaim the tax from your membership so please remember to complete the gift aid section!

Membership types and rates 

Choose between Full Individual, Concessionary, Family or Organisational membership. You can upgrade your membership to include online access to the International Journal of Nautical Archaeology (IJNA). You can also choose to receive hardcopy IJNA twice per year.

Supporting students:

Email a copy of your student card to [email protected] so that NAS staff can set up a FREE one year membership for you. This will include the Weekly Discoveries email and online access to IJNA. After the first year, concessionary rates apply for the rest of your time as a student.

UK Members with an automatic renewal subscription:

Individual membership costs £35.00 for the Weekly Discoveries email, £50.00 for the Weekly Discoveries email and IJNA online access and £75.00 to receive the IJNA in hardcopy published twice a year (as well as the online access to the full IJNA back catalogue).

Rates for Concessionary, Family and Organisational memberships are listed in the table below. To receive a £5.00 discount per year you can set up your membership subscription with an automatic recurring renewal payment on a credit/debit card or via bank direct debit.
