Dendrochronology

Dendrochronology is an important aspect of archaeology especially in maritime and nautical archaeology. Through classroom presentations and practical sessions, you will learn how to assess the suitability of timbers and how to extract samples. Not only this but you will gain an understanding of laboratory procedures and subsequent analysis and interpretation but, also you’ll be introduced to how tree-ring results should be presented in archaeological site reports.
