NAS Recorder and Surveyor Days introduce maritime archaeology fieldwork basics such as: site sketching, photography and video, 2D survey,  what to do with small finds and how to report your exciting discoveries.

Who's it for?

The course is aimed at divers who want to 'dive with a purpose' and learn how develop their practical skills in recording and surveying archaeological sites. 

This is a two-day, underwater diving course and participants are required to have a minimum BSAC Sports Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent diving qualification.

This two-day practical underwater archaeology course costs £260 (does not include entry fee for Stoney Cove) and the related online theory costs £45. Sign up for the Underwater Combined online theory here.  Upon completion of the two-day practical course and online theory courses, participants will receive the NAS FOUNDATION QUALIFICATION.
NAS members will receive 10 credits towards their Certificate or Award.
