Through the National Archives, researchers can have access to 32 million records - but where to start?! This course will provide guidance and practical experience in answering research questions using original documentation available at the National Archives. 

Tutor Sheilah Openshaw runs the NAS Maritime Research Group and is extremely experienced in the use of the National Archives for nautical research. She will guide participants in the use of the library facilities, the catalogues and the original documents, to find information about ships and shipwrecks.
