NAS Part III - Position Fixing

New to the NAS Training Proramme, this is a one day course in the Survey Part III module. In order to be able to put the work we do into a wider perspective it is necessary to relate our site to the rest of the world. In order to do this we need to be able to know where our site is!

The course will provide a brief introduction to different methods of positioning a site and then focus on the use of the Total Station and Dumpy Level. Over the course of the day participants learn how to set up the equipment and how to put it into use. Participants will also be introduced to processing the data and drawing up the results of the survey.

The course costs £110 and a maximum of 6 points will be available in the Survey Part III module.
