NAS Part III - Osteoarchaeology

This is a one day course in the Archaeological Science Part III module. The course is held at the Centre for Archaeology, English Heritage, Fort Cumberland and is taught by Polydora Baker and Simon Mays of English Heritage.

The course costs £110 for the day (NAS members receive a 5% disocunt)

Both human and animal bones can provide a lot of information about a site and the people who lived or worked there, including a demographic profile, food production, trade and health. The course will introduce how this information can be gained, with methods of recoridng and analysing samples from archaeological sites.

Part III courses are open to everyone, however credit points will only be awarded to those who have completed the NAS Introduction Course
