NAS Part III - Conservation Methods for Marine Finds

This is a two day course in the Conservation Part III module.

The course costs £

This course will provide an introduction to some of the principles and techniques used in the conservation of finds from the marine environment. The course will look at dealing with different materials including woods and metals and how they can be treated in order to conserve the artefacts and be able to recieve the maximum amount of information.

The course will be taught by Dr. Mark Jones of the Mary Rose Trust and will consist of both practical and theoretical sessions in order to help meet the aims and objectives. A maximum of 12 credit points will be available in the Conservation Part III module.

Part III courses are open to everyone, however credit points will only be awarded to those who have completed the NAS Introduction Course
