NAS Part III - Computer Aided Design

This is a two day course in the Research and IT Part III module.

The course has previously been run in Guildford taught by Andrew Fewster. The course will provide a step by step guide to producing archaeological isllustrations using computer programmes.

The course aims to introduce participants to one of the many aspects of computing that can be used in archaeology. Providing the opportunity to have a go at illustrations, solid modelling and photo-realistic rendering. By the end of the course participants will not only have a better understanding of the application of computer aided graphics in maritime archaeology but will have also built practical skills that will enable them to produce simple illustrations.
