NAS 2009 Annual Conference - 7th November
The NAS Annual Conference 2009 was another success and featured presentations from a range of professional and amateur archaeologists, with opportunities to discuss research, review the archaeological activities of other members, exchange ideas and network with friends and colleagues from the UK and abroad.
An exciting international event, the NAS 2009 Conference also incorporated informal drinks on the Friday night, a Poster Display, the 7th Annual Adopt-A-Wreck Award, the Keith Muckelroy Award and the 2009 NAS Annual General Meeting.

Friday 6th November 2009 – Informal drinks
NAS Members and friends met in the Ship and Castle pub on the Hard for informal drinks and a chance to catch up before the conference day.
Saturday 7th November 2009 – Conference Day
Hosted by Christopher Dobbs (NAS & Mary Rose Trust), the NAS Conference was fortunate enough to have an range of excellent speakers.

The NAS was happy host a number of organisations who joined us as part of the Maritime Trade Display which ran in conjunction with the Conference. Exhibitors included:
Saturday 7th November 2009 - Beer and Skittles
On the Saturday evening after the conference the NAS hosted an informal Beer and Skittles tournament at the Royal Maritime Club, a chance to catch up with other members and speakers from the conference. The skittles tournement was once again undertaken with great gusto and saw Mike Williams retain his championship from 2008, this year playing with Ian Hamilton.
