Held at the UKs National Diving Centre, this fieldschool offers the chance to record Tudor ships timbers which were recovered from the Thames in 2003. The timbers, known as the Gresham Ship are now lying in just 6m of water in Stoney Cove, making this an ideal site for all levels of divers.
The data collected during NAS Fieldschools on the ship timbers will contribute to the ongoing monitoring and assessment of their condition in Stoney Cove. For more information on the Gresham Ship and how it made its way from the Thames to Stoney, please visit the project pages.
Remember you can join the NAS for the fieldschool at Stoney Cove, whether you are working through the ELearning programme, you wish to refresh your skills, collect data for a NAS Part 2 report or for fieldwork experience to count towards your Part 4 Diploma. Don't forget if you are attending the fieldschool as part of your ELearning course, you will need to complete the theory elements before taking part.
