NAS membership activities

A large, active, supportive membership base is vital to the Society’s work of protecting and promoting our maritime heritage. Your support assists helps us to build a strong maritime community that allows us to act as a policy advisor, getting your views across to regional policy makers, national governments and international agencies.

NAS Fellowship

For those members who make an outstanding contribution to the Society, whether it is through the Training Programme, Assisting with Projects or through involvement with the committees that help run the Society, there is the honour of being nominated an NAS Fellow. NAS Membership

From the 1st January 2011 the NAS has three different types of membership so you can choose the one that suits you – ONLINE, HARDCOPY and ORGANISATIONAL. Within the three types there are 6 distinct categories of membership. The NAS also offers a category of FREE membership to archaeology students for 12 months (contact the NAS office for more information on this special offer).

Online Membership

Online Newsletter – £18.00

Receive the NAS Newsletter as a pdf document four times a year through the member’s area of the NAS website along with the weekly email news update, plus many member only discounts

Online IJNA – £35.00

Receive online access to the full back catalogue of the International Journal of Nautical Archaeology (IJNA) via the NAS member’s area of the website.  You will also receive the NAS Newsletter as a pdf document four times a year the weekly email news update plus many member only discounts

Free archaeology student membership – FREE

For a 12 month period (or until your course ends if this is sooner) receive online access to the International Journal of Nautical Archaeology (IJNA) via the NAS member’s area of the website.  You will also receive the NAS Newsletter as a pdf document four times a year, the weekly email news update plus many member only discounts

Hard Copy Membership

Concessionary IJNA – £42.00
