NAS BSAC Wreck Appreciation Course

In 2008 and 2009 the British Sub Aqua Club (Jane Maddocks, BSAC Wrecks Officer) and the Nautical Archaeology Society (Mark Beattie-Edwards, NAS Programme Director) have combined forces to teach the new BSAC Wreck Appreciation Course at Portland, Dorset

This course is great fun and concentrates on wrecks and how to identify important features. The diving is suitable for BSAC Ocean Divers and above as the course is primarily designed for divers new to wreck diving, or those who would like to learn more about the wrecks they dive. You do not have to be a member of the BSAC or the Nautical Archaeology Society, but if you are, or decide to join, then completion of this course will give you six points towards the NAS Part 3 certificate.

“It was by far the most enjoyable SDC I have ever done and the rest of the group also thought so too. I think we have sold the course to the rest of our club members who would very much like to know when the next one is being run?“
Claire,  Training Officer - BarZero

This course is a fantastic opportunity for you to spend two days learning some real skills that will help you to enjoy your diving even more than you do now. If you are an experienced diver, would like to develop your skill level, and perhaps find out different ways of enjoying going diving then this course is also for you. Maximum of 8 places available.

Course Timetable

The course normally costs about £100.00 for the two days. For this you get two boat dives and all your tuition, BSAC registration fee, information packs and student notes, plus tea/coffee and biscuits. Please note that kit hire is not included.
