Nautical Archaeology Sub-Aqua Club

NASAC Club Logo

We are pleased to announce the founding of a new, NAS–affiliated and volunteer–run archaeological dive club, The Nautical Archaeology Sub–Aqua Club (NASAC), to provide additional practical diving project opportunities for NAS Members. The club is affiliated to the Sub–Aqua Association (Branch 1127), and welcomes divers from all the training agencies. We will not be teaching diving, but we will aim to develop members’ skills throuhg specific training courses and projects that will initially be based primarily along the South Coast. Club diving will be under SAA guidelines and club members will be encouraged to join SAA in order to be covered by its comprehensive insurance scheme. Club members who are not SAA members will need to hold independent third party insurance (eg. through BSAC) and a current diving medical (or to self certify on every dive).
